#dwsr - Mount Stuart Square - 13th January 2014

No idea where the first one was.

Well last night's filming was certainly eventful.

It was dark, cold and wet but we finally got a glimpse of Peter Capaldi himself on set, actually filming something.  The first hour or two was his stunt double riding a horse up and down the street:

Poor man.  It was freezing out.
And of course, as we've come to expect from any victorian era episode, the Paternoster Row gang (Vastra, Jenny and Strax) were also out and about, though not as much.

Jenna's stunt double?
They (along with Jenna or her stunt double, I don't know which) got into the carriage and drove off.  And that seemed like it for their scene.

So then, around nine thirty, the real horses were taken back into their van and a low-rider was reversed into the street so Peter could be filmed in close ups.

So god knows what the episode's actually about since, although I have videos I can hardly hear dialogue (and I mute them before putting them online to reduce spoilers) but whatever it is, it looks like a lot of fun!

Forgot to mention, in between takes, Peter walked over to the crowd (and this was after every take) so we could all get photos, autographs and just generally say hello.  So the show's in very good hands, no need to worry at all with Peter as the Doctor.

This photo made the hours of standing around worth it.
